Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is an American actor, singer and songwriter who was born 20th February 2003. In the latter half of 2010, she gained fame for her roles as the lead actress on Disney's television programs Bizaardvark (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series). Rodrigo's first single, "Drivers License", was released by Interscope Records and Geffen in 2020. It broke records and was one of the top 2021 songs that were sold. This propelled her to mainstream success. Following it, she released singles "Deja Vu," and "Good 4 U" and her debut solo studio album Sour (2021) that received numerous accolades, which included three Grammy Awards. In 2022, a Disney+ documentary called Olivia Rodrigo: Drive Home 2 U was released which chronicles her process of creating with Sour. Rodrigo is an Billboard Hot 100 singles number-one and a Billboard 200 album number-one, and has five multi-Platinum certificates from the Recording Industry Association of America. Alongside other awards, she has won an American Music Award, seven Billboard Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. Time named her an Entertainer of 2021 and Billboard named her the woman of the Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born on 20 February 2003 in Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, California, to school teacher Jennifer and family therapist Chris Rodrigo. [3][4][5][6] She lived and was raised in the nearby town of Temecula. Rodrigo is Filipino American. [7] Rodrigo's father is Filipino, while Rodrigo's mother hails from German as well as Irish descent. [6][9][10] Rodrigo has stated that her grandfather's family moved from the Philippines to the United States when she was an adolescent. Her family is also a part of Filipino customs and cuisine. Rodrigo took vocal lessons in kindergarten. He also took piano lessons quickly. [12] She started taking acting and singing classes when she was six years old. She also began acting in the theater of her elementary school productions. Rodrigo was already playing guitar by the age of 12. 12 years old, she grew up listening to her parents' favorite alternative rock music, such as the groups No Doubt, Pearl Jam, the White Stripes, and Green Day.
